Surah At-Tawba — التَّوْبَةِ
بَرَآءَةٌ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦٓ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَدتُّم مِّنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ١
بیزاری کا حکم سنانا ہے اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی طرف سے ان مشرکوں کو جن سے تمہارا معاہدہ تھا اور وہ قائم نہ رہے
فَسِيحُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِى ٱللَّهِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مُخْزِى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ ٢
تو چا ر مہینے زمین پر چلو پھرو اور جان رکھو کہ تم اللہ کو تھکا نہیں سکتے اور یہ کہ اللہ کافروں کو رسوا کرنے والا ہے
وَأَذَٰنٌ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦٓ إِلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَوْمَ ٱلْحَجِّ ٱلْأَكْبَرِ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَرِىٓءٌ مِّنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ وَرَسُولُهُۥ فَإِن تُبْتُمْ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّكُمْ غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِى ٱللَّهِ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ ٣
اور منادی پکار دیتا اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی طرف سے سب لوگوں میں بڑے حج کے دن کہ اللہ بیزار ہے، مشرکوں سے اور اس کا رسول تو اگر تم توبہ کرو تو تمہا را بھلا ہے اور اگر منہ پھیرو تو جان لو کہ اللہ کو نہ تھکا سکو گے اور کافروں کو خوشخبری سناؤ دردناک عذاب کی،
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَدتُّم مِّنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَنقُصُوكُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَلَمْ يُظَٰهِرُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ أَحَدًا فَأَتِمُّوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِمْ عَهْدَهُمْ إِلَىٰ مُدَّتِهِمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ ٤
مگر وہ مشرک جن سے تمہارہ معاہدہ تھا پھر انہوں نے تمہارے عہد میں کچھ کمی نہیں کی اور تمہارے مقابل کسی کو مدد نہ دی تو ان کا عہد ٹھہری ہوئی مدت تک پورا کرو، بیشک اللہ پرہیزگاروں کو دوست رکھتا ہے،
فَإِذَا ٱنسَلَخَ ٱلْأَشْهُرُ ٱلْحُرُمُ فَٱقْتُلُوا۟ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ حَيْثُ وَجَدتُّمُوهُمْ وَخُذُوهُمْ وَٱحْصُرُوهُمْ وَٱقْعُدُوا۟ لَهُمْ كُلَّ مَرْصَدٍ فَإِن تَابُوا۟ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَوُا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ فَخَلُّوا۟ سَبِيلَهُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ٥
پھر جب حرمت والے مہینے نکل جائیں تو مشرکوں کو مارو جہاں پا ؤ اور انہیں پکڑو اور قید کرو اور ہر جگہ ان کی تاک میں بیٹھو پھر اگر وہ توبہ کریں اور نماز قائم رکھیں اور زکوٰة دیں تو ان کی راہ چھوڑ دو بیشک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے،
وَإِنْ أَحَدٌ مِّنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ٱسْتَجَارَكَ فَأَجِرْهُ حَتَّىٰ يَسْمَعَ كَلَٰمَ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ أَبْلِغْهُ مَأْمَنَهُۥ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَعْلَمُونَ ٦
اور اے محبوب اگر کوئی مشرک تم سے پناہ مانگے تو اسے پناہ دو کہ وہ اللہ کا کلام سنے پھر اسے اس کی امن کی جگہ پہنچا دو یہ اس لیے کہ وہ نادان لوگ ہیں
كَيْفَ يَكُونُ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ عَهْدٌ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَعِندَ رَسُولِهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ عَٰهَدتُّمْ عِندَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ فَمَا ٱسْتَقَٰمُوا۟ لَكُمْ فَٱسْتَقِيمُوا۟ لَهُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ ٧
مشرکوں کے لیے اللہ اور اس کے رسول کے پاس کوئی عہد کیونکر ہوگا مگر وہ جن سے تمہارا معاہدہ مسجد حرام کے پاس ہوا تو جب تک وہ تمہارے لیے عہد پر قائم رہیں تم ان کے لیے قائم رہو، بیشک پرہیزگار اللہ کو خوش آتے ہیں،
كَيْفَ وَإِن يَظْهَرُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ لَا يَرْقُبُوا۟ فِيكُمْ إِلًّا وَلَا ذِمَّةً يُرْضُونَكُم بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَتَأْبَىٰ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ فَٰسِقُونَ ٨
بھلا کیونکر ان کا حال تو یہ ہے کہ تم پر قابو پائیں تو نہ قرابت کا لحاظ کریں نہ عہد کا، اپنے منہ سے تمہیں راضی کرتے ہیں اور ان کے دلوں میں انکار ہے اور ان میں اکثر بے حکم ہیں
ٱشْتَرَوْا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا فَصَدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦٓ إِنَّهُمْ سَآءَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ٩
اللہ کی آیتوں کے بدلے تھو ڑے دام مول لیے تو اس کی راہ سے روکا بیشک وہ بہت ہی بڑے کام کرتے ہیں،
لَا يَرْقُبُونَ فِى مُؤْمِنٍ إِلًّا وَلَا ذِمَّةً وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُعْتَدُونَ ١٠
کسی مسلمان میں نہ قراب کا لحاظ کریں نہ عہد کا اور وہی سرکش ہیں،
فَإِن تَابُوا۟ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَوُا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ فَإِخْوَٰنُكُمْ فِى ٱلدِّينِ وَنُفَصِّلُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ ١١
پھر اگر وہ توبہ کریں اور نماز قائم رکھیں اور زکوٰة دیں تو وہ تمہارے دینی بھائی ہیں اور ہم آیتیں مفصل بیان کرتے ہیں جاننے والوں کے لیے
وَإِن نَّكَثُوٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ عَهْدِهِمْ وَطَعَنُوا۟ فِى دِينِكُمْ فَقَٰتِلُوٓا۟ أَئِمَّةَ ٱلْكُفْرِ إِنَّهُمْ لَآ أَيْمَٰنَ لَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَنتَهُونَ ١٢
اور اگر عہد کرکے اپنی قسمیں توڑیں اور تمہارے دین پر منہ آئیں تو کفر کے سرغنوں سے لڑو بیشک ان کی قسمیں کچھ نہیں اس امید پر کہ شاید وہ باز آئیں
أَلَا تُقَٰتِلُونَ قَوْمًا نَّكَثُوٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَهُمْ وَهَمُّوا۟ بِإِخْرَاجِ ٱلرَّسُولِ وَهُم بَدَءُوكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ أَتَخْشَوْنَهُمْ فَٱللَّهُ أَحَقُّ أَن تَخْشَوْهُ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ١٣
کیا اس قوم سے نہ لڑو گے جنہوں نے اپنی قسمیں توڑیں اور رسول کے نکالنے کا ارادہ کیا حالانکہ انہیں کی طرف سے پہلی ہوتی ہے، کیا ان سے ڈرتے ہو تو اللہ کا زیادہ مستحق ہے کہ اس سے ڈرو اگر ایمان رکھتے ہو،
قَٰتِلُوهُمْ يُعَذِّبْهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِأَيْدِيكُمْ وَيُخْزِهِمْ وَيَنصُرْكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَيَشْفِ صُدُورَ قَوْمٍ مُّؤْمِنِينَ ١٤
تو ان سے لڑو اللہ انہیں عذاب دیگا تمہارے ہاتھوں اور انہیں رسوا کرے گا اور تمہیں ان پر مدد دے گا اور ایمان والوں کا جی ٹھنڈا کرے گا،
وَيُذْهِبْ غَيْظَ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَيَتُوبُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ ١٥
اور ان کے دلوں کی گھٹن دور فرمائے گا اور اللہ جس کی چاہے تو یہ قبول فرمائے اور اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے،
أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَن تُتْرَكُوا۟ وَلَمَّا يَعْلَمِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ جَٰهَدُوا۟ مِنكُمْ وَلَمْ يَتَّخِذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا رَسُولِهِۦ وَلَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلِيجَةً وَٱللَّهُ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ ١٦
کیا اس گمان میں ہو کہ یونہی چھوڑ دیئے جاؤ گے اور ابھی اللہ نے پہچان نہ کرائی ان کی جو تم میں سے جہاد کریں گے اور اللہ اور اس کے رسول اور مسلمانوں کے سوا کسی کو اپنا محرم راز نہ بنائیں گے اور اللہ تمہارے کاموں سے خبردار ہے،
مَا كَانَ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ أَن يَعْمُرُوا۟ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ شَٰهِدِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِم بِٱلْكُفْرِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ وَفِى ٱلنَّارِ هُمْ خَٰلِدُونَ ١٧
مشرکوں کو نہیں پہنچتا کہ اللہ کی مسجدیں آباد کریں خود اپنے کفر کی گواہی دے کر ان کا تو سب کیا دھرا اِکا رت ہے اور وہ ہمیشہ آگ میں رہیں گے
إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ وَأَقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَى ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَلَمْ يَخْشَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ فَعَسَىٰٓ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَن يَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ ١٨
اللہ کی مسجدیں وہی آباد کرتے ہیں جو اللہ اور قیامت پر ایمان لاتے اور نما ز قائم کرتے ہیں اور زکوٰة دیتے ہیں اور اللہ کے سوا کسی سے نہیں ڈرتے تو قریب ہے کہ یہ لوگ ہدایت والوں میں ہوں،
أَجَعَلْتُمْ سِقَايَةَ ٱلْحَآجِّ وَعِمَارَةَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ كَمَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ وَجَٰهَدَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ لَا يَسْتَوُۥنَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ١٩
تو کیا تم نے حا جیوں کی سبیل اور مسجد حرام کی خدمت اس کے برابر ٹھہرا لی جو اللہ اور قیامت پر ایمان لایا اور اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کیا، وہ اللہ کے نزدیک برابر نہیں، اور اللہ ظالموں کو راہ نہیں دیتا
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَهَاجَرُوا۟ وَجَٰهَدُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ أَعْظَمُ دَرَجَةً عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَآئِزُونَ ٢٠
وہ جو ایمان لائے اور ہجرت کی اور اپنے مال و جان سے اللہ کی راہ میں لڑے، اللہ کے یہاں ان کا درجہ بڑا ہے اور وہی مراد کو پہنچے
يُبَشِّرُهُمْ رَبُّهُم بِرَحْمَةٍ مِّنْهُ وَرِضْوَٰنٍ وَجَنَّٰتٍ لَّهُمْ فِيهَا نَعِيمٌ مُّقِيمٌ ٢١
ان کا رب انہیں خوشی سنا تا ہے اپنی رحمت اور اپنی رضا کی اور ان باغوں کی جن میں انہیں دائمی نعمت ہے
خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًا إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عِندَهُۥٓ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ ٢٢
ہمیشہ ہمیشہ ان میں رہیں گے، بیشک اللہ کے پاس بڑا ثواب ہے،
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَتَّخِذُوٓا۟ ءَابَآءَكُمْ وَإِخْوَٰنَكُمْ أَوْلِيَآءَ إِنِ ٱسْتَحَبُّوا۟ ٱلْكُفْرَ عَلَى ٱلْإِيمَٰنِ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّهُم مِّنكُمْ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ ٢٣
اے ایمان والو! اپنے باپ اور اپنے بھائیوں کو دوست نہ سمجھو اگر وہ ایمان پر کفر پسند کریں، اور تم میں جو کوئی ان سے دوستی کرے گا تو وہی ظالم ہیں
قُلْ إِن كَانَ ءَابَآؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَآؤُكُمْ وَإِخْوَٰنُكُمْ وَأَزْوَٰجُكُمْ وَعَشِيرَتُكُمْ وَأَمْوَٰلٌ ٱقْتَرَفْتُمُوهَا وَتِجَٰرَةٌ تَخْشَوْنَ كَسَادَهَا وَمَسَٰكِنُ تَرْضَوْنَهَآ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَجِهَادٍ فِى سَبِيلِهِۦ فَتَرَبَّصُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِىَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ ٢٤
تم فرماؤ اگر تمہارے باپ اور تمہارے بیٹے اور تمہارے بھائی اور تمہاری عورتیں اور تمہارا کنبہ اور تمہاری کمائی کے مال او ر وہ سودا جس کے نقصان کا تمہیں ڈر ہے اور تمہارے پسند کا مکان یہ چیزیں اللہ اور اس کے رسول اور اس کی راہ میں لڑے سے زیاد ہ پیاری ہوں تو راستہ دیکھو یہاں تک کہ اللہ اپنا حکم لائے اور اللہ فاسقوں کو راہ نہیں دیتا،
لَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ فِى مَوَاطِنَ كَثِيرَةٍ وَيَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ إِذْ أَعْجَبَتْكُمْ كَثْرَتُكُمْ فَلَمْ تُغْنِ عَنكُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ ثُمَّ وَلَّيْتُم مُّدْبِرِينَ ٢٥
بیشک اللہ نے بہت جگہ تمہاری مدد کی اور حنین کے دن جب تم اپنی کثرت پر اترا گئے تھے تو وہ تمہارے کچھ کام نہ ا ٓئی اور زمین اتنی وسیع ہوکر تم پر تنگ ہوگئی پھر تم پیٹھ دے کر پھرگئے،
ثُمَّ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ وَعَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَأَنزَلَ جُنُودًا لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا وَعَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ ٢٦
پھر اللہ نے اپنی تسکین اتا ری اپنے رسول پر اور مسلمانوں پر اور وہ لشکر اتارے جو تم نے نہ دیکھے اور کافروں کو عذاب دیا اور منکروں کی یہی سزا ہے،
ثُمَّ يَتُوبُ ٱللَّهُ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ٢٧
پھر اس کے بعد اللہ جسے چاہے گا توبہ دے گا اور اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے،
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُشْرِكُونَ نَجَسٌ فَلَا يَقْرَبُوا۟ ٱلْمَسْجِدَ ٱلْحَرَامَ بَعْدَ عَامِهِمْ هَٰذَا وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ عَيْلَةً فَسَوْفَ يُغْنِيكُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦٓ إِن شَآءَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ ٢٨
اے ایمان والو! مشرک نرے ناپاک ہیں تو اس برس کے بعد وہ مسجد حرام کے پاس نہ آنے پائیں اور اگر تمہاری محتاجی کا ڈر ہے تو عنقریب اللہ تمہیں دولت مند کردے گا اپنے فضل سے اگر چاہے بیشک اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے،
قَٰتِلُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَلَا بِٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ وَلَا يُحَرِّمُونَ مَا حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥ وَلَا يَدِينُونَ دِينَ ٱلْحَقِّ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ حَتَّىٰ يُعْطُوا۟ ٱلْجِزْيَةَ عَن يَدٍ وَهُمْ صَٰغِرُونَ ٢٩
لڑو ان سے جو ایمان نہیں لاتے اللہ پر اور قیامت پر اور حرام نہیں مانتے اس چیز کو جس کو حرام کیا اللہ اور اس کے رسول نے اور سچے دین کے تابع نہیں ہوتے یعنی وہ جو کتاب دیے گئے جب تک اپنے ہاتھ سے جزیہ نہ دیں ذلیل ہوکر
وَقَالَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ عُزَيْرٌ ٱبْنُ ٱللَّهِ وَقَالَتِ ٱلنَّصَٰرَى ٱلْمَسِيحُ ٱبْنُ ٱللَّهِ ذَٰلِكَ قَوْلُهُم بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ يُضَٰهِـُٔونَ قَوْلَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن قَبْلُ قَٰتَلَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ ٣٠
اور یہودی بولے عزیر اللہ کا بیٹا ہے اور نصرانی بولے مسیح اللہ کا بیٹا ہے، یہ باتیں وہ اپنے منہ سے بکتے ہیں اگلے کافرو ں کی سی بات بناتے ہیں، اللہ انہیں مارے، کہاں اوندھے جاتے ہیں
ٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَٰنَهُمْ أَرْبَابًا مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْمَسِيحَ ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَمَآ أُمِرُوٓا۟ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوٓا۟ إِلَٰهًا وَٰحِدًا لَّآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ ٣١
انہوں نے اپنے پادریوں اور جوگیوں کو اللہ کے سوا خدا بنالیا اور مسیح بن مریم کو اور انہیں حکم نہ تھا مگر یہ کہ ایک اللہ کو پوجیں اس کے سوا کسی کی بندگی نہیں، اسے پاکی ہے ان کے شرک سے،
يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُطْفِـُٔوا۟ نُورَ ٱللَّهِ بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَيَأْبَى ٱللَّهُ إِلَّآ أَن يُتِمَّ نُورَهُۥ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ ٣٢
چاہتے ہیں کہ اللہ کا نور اپنے منہ سے بُجھا دیں اور اللہ نہ مانے گا مگر اپنے نور کا پورا کرنا پڑے برا مانیں کافر،
هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُۥ بِٱلْهُدَىٰ وَدِينِ ٱلْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلدِّينِ كُلِّهِۦ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْمُشْرِكُونَ ٣٣
وہی ہے جس نے اپنا رسول ہدایت اور سچے دین کے ساتھ بھیجا کہ اسے سب دینوں پر غالب کرے پڑے برا مانیں مشرک،
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ ٱلْأَحْبَارِ وَٱلرُّهْبَانِ لَيَأْكُلُونَ أَمْوَٰلَ ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَكْنِزُونَ ٱلذَّهَبَ وَٱلْفِضَّةَ وَلَا يُنفِقُونَهَا فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ ٣٤
اے ایمان والو! بیشک بہت پادری اور جوگی لوگوں کا مال ناحق کھا جاتے ہیں اور اللہ کی راہ سے روکتے ہیں، اور وہ کہ جوڑ کر رکھتے ہیں سونا اور چاندی اور اسے اللہ کی راہ میں خرچ نہیں کرتے انہیں خوشخبری سناؤ دردناک عذاب کی،
يَوْمَ يُحْمَىٰ عَلَيْهَا فِى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ فَتُكْوَىٰ بِهَا جِبَاهُهُمْ وَجُنُوبُهُمْ وَظُهُورُهُمْ هَٰذَا مَا كَنَزْتُمْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ فَذُوقُوا۟ مَا كُنتُمْ تَكْنِزُونَ ٣٥
جس دن تپایا جائے گا جہنم کی آ گ میں پھر اس سے داغیں گے ان کی پیشانیاں اور کروٹیں اور پیٹھیں یہ ہے وہ جو تم نے اپنے لیے جوڑ کر رکھا تھا اب چکھو مزا اس جوڑنے کا،
إِنَّ عِدَّةَ ٱلشُّهُورِ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِى كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ مِنْهَآ أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْقَيِّمُ فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا۟ فِيهِنَّ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَقَٰتِلُوا۟ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ كَآفَّةً كَمَا يُقَٰتِلُونَكُمْ كَآفَّةً وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ ٣٦
بیشک مہینوں کی گنتی اللہ کے نزدیک بارہ مہینے ہے اللہ کی کتاب میں جب سے اس نے آسمان اور زمین بنائے ان میں سے چار حرمت والے ہیں یہ سیدھا دین ہے، تو ان مہینوں میں اپنی جان پر ظلم نہ کرو اور مشرکوں سے ہر وقت لڑو جیسا وہ تم سے ہر وقت لڑتے ہیں، اور جان لو کہ اللہ پرہیزگاروں کے ساتھ ہے
إِنَّمَا ٱلنَّسِىٓءُ زِيَادَةٌ فِى ٱلْكُفْرِ يُضَلُّ بِهِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُحِلُّونَهُۥ عَامًا وَيُحَرِّمُونَهُۥ عَامًا لِّيُوَاطِـُٔوا۟ عِدَّةَ مَا حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ فَيُحِلُّوا۟ مَا حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ زُيِّنَ لَهُمْ سُوٓءُ أَعْمَٰلِهِمْ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ ٣٧
ان کا مہینے پیچھے ہٹانا نہیں مگر اور کفر میں بڑھنا اس سے کافر بہکائے جاتے ہیں ایک برس اسے حلال ٹھہراتے ہیں اور دوسرے برس اسے حرام مانتے ہیں کہ اس گنتی کے برابر ہوجائیں جو اللہ نے حرام فرمائی اور اللہ کے حرام کیے ہوئے حلال کرلیں، ان کے برے کا م ان کی آنکھوں میں بھلے لگتے ہیں، اور اللہ کافروں کو راہ نہیں دیتا،
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَا لَكُمْ إِذَا قِيلَ لَكُمُ ٱنفِرُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ٱثَّاقَلْتُمْ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَرَضِيتُم بِٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا مِنَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ فَمَا مَتَٰعُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ ٣٨
اے ایمان والو! تمہیں کیا ہوا جب تم سے کہا جائے کہ خدا کی راہ میں کوچ کرو تو بوجھ کے مارے زمین پر بیٹھ جاتے ہو کیا تم نے دنیا کی زندگی آخرت کے بدلے پسند کرلی اور جیتی دنیا کا اسباب آخرت کے سامنے نہیں مگر تھوڑا
إِلَّا تَنفِرُوا۟ يُعَذِّبْكُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا وَيَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ وَلَا تَضُرُّوهُ شَيْـًٔا وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ٣٩
اگر نہ کوچ کرو گے انہیں سخت سزا دے گا اور تمہاری جگہ اور تمہاری جگہ اور لوگ لے آئے گا اور تم اس کا کچھ نہ بگا ڑ سکوگے، اور اللہ سب کچھ کرسکتا ہے،
إِلَّا تَنصُرُوهُ فَقَدْ نَصَرَهُ ٱللَّهُ إِذْ أَخْرَجَهُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ثَانِىَ ٱثْنَيْنِ إِذْ هُمَا فِى ٱلْغَارِ إِذْ يَقُولُ لِصَٰحِبِهِۦ لَا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَنَا فَأَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُۥ عَلَيْهِ وَأَيَّدَهُۥ بِجُنُودٍ لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا وَجَعَلَ كَلِمَةَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ٱلسُّفْلَىٰ وَكَلِمَةُ ٱللَّهِ هِىَ ٱلْعُلْيَا وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ ٤٠
اگر تم محبوب کی مدد نہ کرو تو بیشک اللہ نے ان کی مدد فرمائی جب کافروں کی شرارت سے انہیں باہر تشریف لے جانا ہوا صرف دو جان سے جب وہ دونوں غار میں تھے جب اپنے یار سے فرماتے تھے غم نہ کھا بیشک اللہ ہمارے ساتھ ہے تو اللہ نے اس پر اپنا سکینہ اتارا اور ان فوجوں سے اس کی مدد کی جو تم نے نہ دیکھیں اور کافروں کی بات نیچے ڈالی اللہ ہی کا بول بالا ہے اور اللہ غالب حکمت والا ہے،
ٱنفِرُوا۟ خِفَافًا وَثِقَالًا وَجَٰهِدُوا۟ بِأَمْوَٰلِكُمْ وَأَنفُسِكُمْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ ٤١
کوچ کرو ہلکی جان سے چاہے بھاری دل سے اور اللہ کی راہ میں لڑو اپنے مال اور جان سے، یہ تمہارے لیے بہتر ہے اگر جانو
لَوْ كَانَ عَرَضًا قَرِيبًا وَسَفَرًا قَاصِدًا لَّٱتَّبَعُوكَ وَلَٰكِنۢ بَعُدَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلشُّقَّةُ وَسَيَحْلِفُونَ بِٱللَّهِ لَوِ ٱسْتَطَعْنَا لَخَرَجْنَا مَعَكُمْ يُهْلِكُونَ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَٰذِبُونَ ٤٢
اگر کوئی قریب مال یا متوسط سفر ہوتا تو ضرور تمہارے ساتھ جاتے مگر ان پر تو مشقت کا راستہ دور پڑ گیا، اور اب اللہ کی قسم کھائیں گے کہ ہم سے بن پڑتا تو ضرور تمہارے ساتھ چلتے اپنی جانو کو ہلاک کرتے ہیں اور اللہ جانتا ہے کہ وہ بیشک ضرور جھوٹے ہیں،
عَفَا ٱللَّهُ عَنكَ لِمَ أَذِنتَ لَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكَ ٱلَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا۟ وَتَعْلَمَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ ٤٣
اللہ تمہیں معاف کرے تم نے انہیں کیوں اِذن دے دیا جب تک نہ کھلے تھے تم پر سچے اور ظاہر نہ ہوئے تھے جھوٹے،
لَا يَسْتَـْٔذِنُكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ أَن يُجَٰهِدُوا۟ بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌۢ بِٱلْمُتَّقِينَ ٤٤
اور وہ جو اللہ اور قیامت پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں تم سے چھٹی نہ مانگیں گے اس سے کہ اپنے مال اور جان سے جہاد کریں، اور اللہ خوب جا نتا ہے پرہیزگا روں کو،
إِنَّمَا يَسْتَـْٔذِنُكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ وَٱرْتَابَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ فَهُمْ فِى رَيْبِهِمْ يَتَرَدَّدُونَ ٤٥
تم سے یہ چھٹی وہی مانگتے ہیں جو اللہ اور قیامت پر ایمان نہیں رکھتے اور ان کے دل شک میں پڑے ہیں تو وہ اپنے شک میں ڈانواں ڈول ہیں
وَلَوْ أَرَادُوا۟ ٱلْخُرُوجَ لَأَعَدُّوا۟ لَهُۥ عُدَّةً وَلَٰكِن كَرِهَ ٱللَّهُ ٱنۢبِعَاثَهُمْ فَثَبَّطَهُمْ وَقِيلَ ٱقْعُدُوا۟ مَعَ ٱلْقَٰعِدِينَ ٤٦
انہیں نکلنا منظور ہوتا تو اس کا سامان کرتے مگر خدا ہی کو ان کا اٹھنا پسند ہوا تو ان میں کاہلی بھردی اور فرمایا گیا کہ بیٹھ رہو بیٹھ رہنے والے کے ساتھ
لَوْ خَرَجُوا۟ فِيكُم مَّا زَادُوكُمْ إِلَّا خَبَالًا وَلَأَوْضَعُوا۟ خِلَٰلَكُمْ يَبْغُونَكُمُ ٱلْفِتْنَةَ وَفِيكُمْ سَمَّٰعُونَ لَهُمْ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌۢ بِٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ٤٧
اگر وہ تم میں نکلتے تو ان سے سوا نقصان کے تمہیں کچھ نہ بڑھتنا اور تم میں فتنہ ڈالنے کو تمہارے بیچ یں غرابیں دوڑاتے (فساد ڈالتے) اور تم میں ان کے جاسوس موجود ہیں اور اللہ خوب جانتا ہے ظالموں کو،
لَقَدِ ٱبْتَغَوُا۟ ٱلْفِتْنَةَ مِن قَبْلُ وَقَلَّبُوا۟ لَكَ ٱلْأُمُورَ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَظَهَرَ أَمْرُ ٱللَّهِ وَهُمْ كَٰرِهُونَ ٤٨
بیشک انہوں نے پہلے ہی فتنہ چا ہا تھا اور اے محبوب! تمہارے لیے تدبیریں الٹی پلٹیں یہاں تک کہ حق آیا اور اللہ کا حکم ظاہر ہوا اور انہیں ناگوار تھا،
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَقُولُ ٱئْذَن لِّى وَلَا تَفْتِنِّىٓ أَلَا فِى ٱلْفِتْنَةِ سَقَطُوا۟ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةٌۢ بِٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ ٤٩
اور ان میں کوئی تم سے یوں عرض کرتا ہے کہ مجھے رخصت دیجیے اور فتنہ میں نہ ڈالیے سن لو وہ فتنہ ہی میں پڑے اور بیشک جہنم گھیرے ہوئے ہے کافروں کو،
إِن تُصِبْكَ حَسَنَةٌ تَسُؤْهُمْ وَإِن تُصِبْكَ مُصِيبَةٌ يَقُولُوا۟ قَدْ أَخَذْنَآ أَمْرَنَا مِن قَبْلُ وَيَتَوَلَّوا۟ وَّهُمْ فَرِحُونَ ٥٠
اگر تمہیں بھلائی پہنچے تو انہیں برا لگے اور اگر تمہیں کوئی مصیبت پہنچے تو کہیں ہم نے اپنا کام پہلے ہی ٹھیک کرلیا تھا اور خوشیاں مناتے پھر جائیں،
قُل لَّن يُصِيبَنَآ إِلَّا مَا كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ لَنَا هُوَ مَوْلَىٰنَا وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ٥١
تم فرماؤ ہمیں نہ پہنچے گا مگر جو اللہ نے ہمارے لیے لکھ دیا وہ ہمارا مولیٰ ہے اور مسلمانوں کو اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ چاہیے،
قُلْ هَلْ تَرَبَّصُونَ بِنَآ إِلَّآ إِحْدَى ٱلْحُسْنَيَيْنِ وَنَحْنُ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمْ أَن يُصِيبَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِعَذَابٍ مِّنْ عِندِهِۦٓ أَوْ بِأَيْدِينَا فَتَرَبَّصُوٓا۟ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّتَرَبِّصُونَ ٥٢
تم فرماؤ تم ہم پر کس چیز کا انتظار کرتے ہو مگر دو خوبیوں میں سے ایک کا اور ہم تم پر اس انتظار میں ہیں کہ اللہ تم پر عذاب ڈالے اپنے پاس سے یا ہمارے ہاتھوں تو اب راہ دیکھو ہم بھی تمہارے ساتھ راہ دیکھ رہے ہیں
قُلْ أَنفِقُوا۟ طَوْعًا أَوْ كَرْهًا لَّن يُتَقَبَّلَ مِنكُمْ إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا فَٰسِقِينَ ٥٣
تم فرماؤ کہ دل سے خرچ کرو یا ناگواری سے تم سے ہر گز قبول نہ ہوگا بیشک تم بے حکم لوگ ہو،
وَمَا مَنَعَهُمْ أَن تُقْبَلَ مِنْهُمْ نَفَقَٰتُهُمْ إِلَّآ أَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَبِرَسُولِهِۦ وَلَا يَأْتُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ إِلَّا وَهُمْ كُسَالَىٰ وَلَا يُنفِقُونَ إِلَّا وَهُمْ كَٰرِهُونَ ٥٤
اور وہ جو خرچ کرتے ہیں اس کا قبول ہونا بند نہ ہوا مگر اسی لیے کہ وہ اللہ اور رسول سے منکر ہوئے اور نماز کو نہیں آتے مگر جی ہارے اور خرچ نہیں کرتے مگر ناگواری سے
فَلَا تُعْجِبْكَ أَمْوَٰلُهُمْ وَلَآ أَوْلَٰدُهُمْ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُم بِهَا فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَتَزْهَقَ أَنفُسُهُمْ وَهُمْ كَٰفِرُونَ ٥٥
تو تمہیں ان کے مال اور ان کی اولاد کا تعجب نہ آئے، اللہ ہی چاہتا ہے کہ دنیا کی زندگی میں ان چیزوں سے ان پر وبال ڈالے اور اگر کفر ہی پر ان کا دم نکل جائے
وَيَحْلِفُونَ بِٱللَّهِ إِنَّهُمْ لَمِنكُمْ وَمَا هُم مِّنكُمْ وَلَٰكِنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ يَفْرَقُونَ ٥٦
اور اللہ کی قسمیں کھاتے ہیں کہ وہ تم میں سے ہیں اور تم میں سے ہیں نہیں ہاں وہ لوگ ڈرتے ہیں
لَوْ يَجِدُونَ مَلْجَـًٔا أَوْ مَغَٰرَٰتٍ أَوْ مُدَّخَلًا لَّوَلَّوْا۟ إِلَيْهِ وَهُمْ يَجْمَحُونَ ٥٧
اگر پائیں کوئی پناہ یا غار یا سما جانے کی جگہ تو رسیاں تڑاتے ادھر پھر جائیں گے
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَلْمِزُكَ فِى ٱلصَّدَقَٰتِ فَإِنْ أُعْطُوا۟ مِنْهَا رَضُوا۟ وَإِن لَّمْ يُعْطَوْا۟ مِنْهَآ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْخَطُونَ ٥٨
اور ان میں کوئی وہ ہے کہ صدقے بانٹنے میں تم پر طعن کرتا ہے تو اگر ان میں سے کچھ ملے تو راضی ہوجائیں اور نہ ملے تو جبھی وہ ناراض ہیں،
وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ رَضُوا۟ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥ وَقَالُوا۟ حَسْبُنَا ٱللَّهُ سَيُؤْتِينَا ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَرَسُولُهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ رَٰغِبُونَ ٥٩
اور کیا اچھا ہوتا اگر وہ اس پر راضی ہوتے جو اللہ و رسول نے ان کو دیا اور کہتے ہمیں اللہ کافی ہے اب دیتا ہے ہمیں اللہ اپنے فضل سے اور اللہ کا رسول، ہمیں اللہ ہی کی طرف رغبت ہے
إِنَّمَا ٱلصَّدَقَٰتُ لِلْفُقَرَآءِ وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينِ وَٱلْعَٰمِلِينَ عَلَيْهَا وَٱلْمُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَفِى ٱلرِّقَابِ وَٱلْغَٰرِمِينَ وَفِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱبْنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ فَرِيضَةً مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ ٦٠
زکوٰة تو انہیں لوگوں کے لیے ہے محتاج اور نرے نادار اور جو اسے تحصیل کرکے لائیں اور جن کے دلوں کو اسلام سے الفت دی جائے اور گردنیں چھڑانے میں اور قرضداروں کو اور اللہ کی راہ میں اور مسافر کو، یہ ٹھہرایا ہوا ہے اللہ کا، اور اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے
وَمِنْهُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْذُونَ ٱلنَّبِىَّ وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ أُذُنٌ قُلْ أُذُنُ خَيْرٍ لَّكُمْ يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَيُؤْمِنُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنكُمْ وَٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْذُونَ رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ٦١
اور ان میں کوئی وہ ہیں کہ ان غیب کی خبریں دینے والے کو ستاتے ہیں اور کہتے ہیں وہ تو کان ہیں، تم فرماؤ تمہارے بھلے کے لیے کا ن ہیں اللہ پر ایمان لاتے ہیں اور مسلمانوں کی بات پر یقین کرتے ہیں اور جو تم میں مسلمان ہیں ان کے واسطے رحمت ہیں، اور جو رسول اللہ کو ایذا دیتے ہیں ان کے لیے دردناک عذاب ہے،
يَحْلِفُونَ بِٱللَّهِ لَكُمْ لِيُرْضُوكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥٓ أَحَقُّ أَن يُرْضُوهُ إِن كَانُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ ٦٢
تمہارے سامنے اللہ کی قسم کھاتے ہیں کہ تمہیں راضی کرلیں اور اللہ و رسول کا حق زائد تھا کہ اسے راضی کرتے اگر ایمان رکھتے تھے،
أَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّهُۥ مَن يُحَادِدِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ فَأَنَّ لَهُۥ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدًا فِيهَا ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْخِزْىُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ ٦٣
کیا انہیں خبر نہیں کہ جو خلاف کرے اللہ اور اس کے رسول کا تو اس کے لیے جہنم کی آ گ ہے کہ ہمیشہ اس میں رہے گا، یہی بڑی رسوائی ہے،
يَحْذَرُ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقُونَ أَن تُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُورَةٌ تُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا فِى قُلُوبِهِمْ قُلِ ٱسْتَهْزِءُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مُخْرِجٌ مَّا تَحْذَرُونَ ٦٤
منافق ڈرتے ہیں کہ ان پر کوئی سورة ایسی اترے جو ان کے دلوں کی چھپی جتادے تم فرماؤ ہنسے جاؤ اللہ کو ضرور ظاہر کرنا ہے جس کا تمہیں ڈر ہے،
وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنَّ إِنَّمَا كُنَّا نَخُوضُ وَنَلْعَبُ قُلْ أَبِٱللَّهِ وَءَايَٰتِهِۦ وَرَسُولِهِۦ كُنتُمْ تَسْتَهْزِءُونَ ٦٥
اور اے محبوب اگر تم ان سے پوچھو تو کہیں گے کہ ہم تو یونہی ہنسی کھیل میں تھے تم فرماؤ کیا اللہ اور اس کی آیتوں اور اس کے رسول سے ہنستے ہو،
لَا تَعْتَذِرُوا۟ قَدْ كَفَرْتُم بَعْدَ إِيمَٰنِكُمْ إِن نَّعْفُ عَن طَآئِفَةٍ مِّنكُمْ نُعَذِّبْ طَآئِفَةًۢ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ مُجْرِمِينَ ٦٦
بہانے نہ بنا ؤ تم کافر ہوچکے مسلمان ہوکر اگر ہم تم میں سے کسی کو معاف کریں تو اوروں کو عذاب دیں گے اس لیے کہ وہ مجرم تھے
ٱلْمُنَٰفِقُونَ وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقَٰتُ بَعْضُهُم مِّنۢ بَعْضٍ يَأْمُرُونَ بِٱلْمُنكَرِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ ٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَقْبِضُونَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ نَسُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ فَنَسِيَهُمْ إِنَّ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ هُمُ ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ ٦٧
منافق مرد اور منافق عورتیں ایک تھیلی کے چٹے بٹے ہیں برائی کا حکم دیں اور بھلائی سے منع کریں اور اپنی مٹھی بند رکھیں وہ اللہ کو چھوڑ بیٹھے تو اللہ نے انہیں چھوڑدیا بیشک منافق وہی پکے بے حکم ہیں،
وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقَٰتِ وَٱلْكُفَّارَ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا هِىَ حَسْبُهُمْ وَلَعَنَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّقِيمٌ ٦٨
اللہ نے منافق مردوں اور منافق عورتوں اور کافروں کو جہنم کی آگ کا وعدہ دیا ہے جس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے، وہ انہیں بس ہے اور اللہ کی ان پر لعنت ہے اور ان کے لیے قائم رہنے والا عذاب ہے
كَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ كَانُوٓا۟ أَشَدَّ مِنكُمْ قُوَّةً وَأَكْثَرَ أَمْوَٰلًا وَأَوْلَٰدًا فَٱسْتَمْتَعُوا۟ بِخَلَٰقِهِمْ فَٱسْتَمْتَعْتُم بِخَلَٰقِكُمْ كَمَا ٱسْتَمْتَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُم بِخَلَٰقِهِمْ وَخُضْتُمْ كَٱلَّذِى خَاضُوٓا۟ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ ٦٩
جیسے وہ جو تم سے پہلے تھے تم سے زور میں بڑھ کر تھے اور ان کے مال اور اولاد سے زیادہ، تو وہ اپنا حصہ برت گئے تو تم نے اپنا حصہ برتا جیسے اگلے اپنا حصہ برت گئے اور تم بیہودگی میں پڑے جیسے وہ پڑے تھے ان کے عمل اکارت گئے دنیا اور آخرت میں اور وہی لوگ گھاٹے میں ہیں
أَلَمْ يَأْتِهِمْ نَبَأُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَقَوْمِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَأَصْحَٰبِ مَدْيَنَ وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَٰتِ أَتَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ ٧٠
کیا انہیں اپنے سے اگلوں کی خبر نہ آئی نوح کی قوم اور عاد اور ثمود اور ابراہیم کی قوم اور مدین والے اور وہ بستیاں کہ الٹ دی گئیں ان کے رسول روشن دلیلیں ان کے پاس لائے تھے تو اللہ کی شان نہ تھی کہ ان پر ظلم کرتا بلکہ وہ خود ہی اپنی جانوں پر ظالم تھے
وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍ يَأْمُرُونَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَيُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَيُطِيعُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥٓ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ سَيَرْحَمُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ ٧١
اور مسلمان مرد اور مسلمان عورتیں ایک دوسرے کے رفیق ہیں بھلائی کا حکم دیں اور برائی سے منع کریں اور نماز قائم رکھیں اور زکوٰة دیں اور اللہ و رسول کا حکم مانیں، یہ ہیں جن پر عنقریب اللہ رحم کرے گا، بیشک اللہ غالب حکمت والا ہے،
وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا وَمَسَٰكِنَ طَيِّبَةً فِى جَنَّٰتِ عَدْنٍ وَرِضْوَٰنٌ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ ٧٢
اللہ نے مسلمان مردوں اور مسلمان عورتوں کو باغوں کا وعدہ دیا ہے جن کے نیچے نہریں رواں ان میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے اور پاکیزہ مکانوں کا بسنے کے باغوں میں، اور اللہ کی رضا سب سے بڑی یہی ہے بڑی مراد پانی،
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ جَٰهِدِ ٱلْكُفَّارَ وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ وَٱغْلُظْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَمَأْوَىٰهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ ٧٣
اے غیب کی خبریں دینے والے (نبی) جہاد فرماؤ کافروں اور منافقوں پر اور ان پر سختی کرو، اور ان کا ٹھکانا دوزخ ہے، اور کیا ہی بری جگہ پلٹنے کی،
يَحْلِفُونَ بِٱللَّهِ مَا قَالُوا۟ وَلَقَدْ قَالُوا۟ كَلِمَةَ ٱلْكُفْرِ وَكَفَرُوا۟ بَعْدَ إِسْلَٰمِهِمْ وَهَمُّوا۟ بِمَا لَمْ يَنَالُوا۟ وَمَا نَقَمُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ أَنْ أَغْنَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ فَإِن يَتُوبُوا۟ يَكُ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ وَإِن يَتَوَلَّوْا۟ يُعَذِّبْهُمُ ٱللَّهُ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَمَا لَهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِن وَلِىٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ ٧٤
اللہ کی قسم کھاتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے نہ کہا اور بیشک ضرور انہوں نے کفر کی بات کہی اور اسلام میں آکر کافر ہوگئے اور وہ چاہا تھا جو انہیں نہ ملا اور انہیں کیا برا لگا یہی نہ کہ اللہ و رسول نے انہیں اپنے فضل سے غنی کردیا تو اگر وہ توبہ کریں تو ان کا بھلا ہے، اور اگر منہ پھیریں تو اللہ انہیں سخت عذاب کرے گا دنیا اور آخرت میں، اور زمین میں کوئی نہ ان کا حمایتی ہوگا اور نہ مددگار
وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ عَٰهَدَ ٱللَّهَ لَئِنْ ءَاتَىٰنَا مِن فَضْلِهِۦ لَنَصَّدَّقَنَّ وَلَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ٧٥
اور ان میں کوئی وہ ہیں جنہوں نے اللہ سے عہد کیا تھا کہ اگر ہمیں اپنے فضل سے دے تو ہم ضرور خیرات کریں گے اور ہم ضرور بھلے آدمی ہوجائیں گے
فَلَمَّآ ءَاتَىٰهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِۦ بَخِلُوا۟ بِهِۦ وَتَوَلَّوا۟ وَّهُم مُّعْرِضُونَ ٧٦
تو جب اللہ نے انہیں اپنے فضل سے دیا اس میں بخل کرنے لگے اور منہ پھیر کر پلٹ گئے،
فَأَعْقَبَهُمْ نِفَاقًا فِى قُلُوبِهِمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يَلْقَوْنَهُۥ بِمَآ أَخْلَفُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا وَعَدُوهُ وَبِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْذِبُونَ ٧٧
تو اس کے پیچھے اللہ نے ان کے دلوں میں نفاق رکھ دیا اس دن تک کہ اس سے ملیں گے بدلہ اس کا کہ انہوں نے اللہ سے وعدہ جھوٹا کیا اور بدلہ اس کا کہ جھوٹ بولتے تھے
أَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ سِرَّهُمْ وَنَجْوَىٰهُمْ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَّٰمُ ٱلْغُيُوبِ ٧٨
کیا انہیں خبر نہیں کہ اللہ ان کے دل کی چھپی اور ان کی سرگوشی کو جانتا ہے اور یہ کہ اللہ سب غیبوں کا بہت جاننے والا ہے
ٱلَّذِينَ يَلْمِزُونَ ٱلْمُطَّوِّعِينَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِى ٱلصَّدَقَٰتِ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ إِلَّا جُهْدَهُمْ فَيَسْخَرُونَ مِنْهُمْ سَخِرَ ٱللَّهُ مِنْهُمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ٧٩
اور جو عیب لگاتے ہیں ان مسلمانوں کو کہ دل سے خیرات کرتے ہیں اور ان کو جو نہیں پاتے مگر اپنی محنت سے تو ان سے ہنستے ہیں اللہ ان کی ہنسی کی سزا دے گا، اور ان کے لیے دردناک عذاب ہے،
ٱسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ أَوْ لَا تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ إِن تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً فَلَن يَغْفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمْ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ ٨٠
تم ان کی معافی چاہو یا نہ چاہو، اگر تم ستر بار ان کی معافی چاہو گے تو اللہ ہرگز انھیں نہیں بخشے گا یہ اس لیے کہ وہ اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے منکر ہوئے، اور اللہ فاسقوں کو راہ نہیں دیتا
فَرِحَ ٱلْمُخَلَّفُونَ بِمَقْعَدِهِمْ خِلَٰفَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ وَكَرِهُوٓا۟ أَن يُجَٰهِدُوا۟ بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَقَالُوا۟ لَا تَنفِرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْحَرِّ قُلْ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَ أَشَدُّ حَرًّا لَّوْ كَانُوا۟ يَفْقَهُونَ ٨١
پیچھے رہ جانے والے اس پر خوش ہوئے کہ وہ رسول کے پیچھے بیٹھ رہے اور انہیں گوارا نہ ہوا کہ اپنے مال اور جان سے اللہ کی راہ میں لڑیں اور بولے اس گرمی میں نہ نکلو، تم فرماؤ جہنم کی آگ سب سے سخت گرم ہے، کسی طرح انہیں سمجھ ہو تی
فَلْيَضْحَكُوا۟ قَلِيلًا وَلْيَبْكُوا۟ كَثِيرًا جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ ٨٢
تو انہیں چاہیے تھوڑا ہنسیں اور بہت روئیں بدلہ اس کا جو کماتے تھے
فَإِن رَّجَعَكَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَىٰ طَآئِفَةٍ مِّنْهُمْ فَٱسْتَـْٔذَنُوكَ لِلْخُرُوجِ فَقُل لَّن تَخْرُجُوا۟ مَعِىَ أَبَدًا وَلَن تُقَٰتِلُوا۟ مَعِىَ عَدُوًّا إِنَّكُمْ رَضِيتُم بِٱلْقُعُودِ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ فَٱقْعُدُوا۟ مَعَ ٱلْخَٰلِفِينَ ٨٣
پھر اے محبوب! اگر اللہ تمہیں ان میں سے کسی گروہ کی طرف واپس لے جائے اور وہ تم سے جہاد کو نکلنے کی اجازت مانگے تو تم فرمانا کہ تم کبھی میرے ساتھ نہ چلو اور ہرگز میرے ساتھ کسی دشمن سے نہ لڑو، تم نے پہلی دفعہ بیٹھ رہنا پسند کیا تو بیٹھ رہو پیچھے رہ جانے والوں کے ساتھ
وَلَا تُصَلِّ عَلَىٰٓ أَحَدٍ مِّنْهُم مَّاتَ أَبَدًا وَلَا تَقُمْ عَلَىٰ قَبْرِهِۦٓ إِنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَمَاتُوا۟ وَهُمْ فَٰسِقُونَ ٨٤
اور ان میں سے کسی کی میت پر کبھی نماز نہ پڑھنا اور نہ اس کی قبر پر کھڑے ہونا، بیشک اللہ اور رسول سے منکر ہوئے اور فسق ہی میں مر گئے
وَلَا تُعْجِبْكَ أَمْوَٰلُهُمْ وَأَوْلَٰدُهُمْ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُعَذِّبَهُم بِهَا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَتَزْهَقَ أَنفُسُهُمْ وَهُمْ كَٰفِرُونَ ٨٥
اور ان کے مال یا اولاد پر تعجب نہ کرنا، اللہ یہی چاہتا ہے کہ اسے دنیا م یں ان پر وبال کرے اور کفر ہی پر ان کا دم نکل جائے،
وَإِذَآ أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ أَنْ ءَامِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَجَٰهِدُوا۟ مَعَ رَسُولِهِ ٱسْتَـْٔذَنَكَ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلطَّوْلِ مِنْهُمْ وَقَالُوا۟ ذَرْنَا نَكُن مَّعَ ٱلْقَٰعِدِينَ ٨٦
اور جب کوئی سورت اترے کہ اللہ پر ایمان لاؤ اور اس کے رسول کے ہمراہ جہاد کرو تو ان کے مقدور والے تم سے رخصت مانگتے ہیں اور کہتے ہیں ہمیں چھوڑ دیجیے کہ بیٹھ رہنے والوں کے ساتھ ہولیں،
رَضُوا۟ بِأَن يَكُونُوا۟ مَعَ ٱلْخَوَالِفِ وَطُبِعَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ ٨٧
انہیں پسند آیا کہ پیچھے رہنے والی عورتوں کے ساتھ ہوجائیں اور ان کے دلوں پر مہُر کردی گئیں تو وہ کچھ نہیں سمجھتے
لَٰكِنِ ٱلرَّسُولُ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ جَٰهَدُوا۟ بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ ٱلْخَيْرَٰتُ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ ٨٨
لیکن رسول اور جو ان کے ساتھ ایمان لائے انہوں نے اپنے مالوں جانوں سے جہاد کیا، اور انہیں کے لیے بھلائیاں ہیں اور یہی مراد کو پہنچے،
أَعَدَّ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ ٨٩
اللہ نے ان کے لیے تیار کر رکھی ہیں بہشتیں جن کے نیچے نہریں رواں ہمیشہ ان میں رہیں گے، یہی بڑی مراد ملنی ہے،
وَجَآءَ ٱلْمُعَذِّرُونَ مِنَ ٱلْأَعْرَابِ لِيُؤْذَنَ لَهُمْ وَقَعَدَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ سَيُصِيبُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ٩٠
اور بہانے بنانے والے گنوار آئے کہ انہیں رخصت دی جائے اور بیٹھ رہے وہ جنہوں نے اللہ و رسول سے جھوٹ بولا تھا جلد ان میں کے کافروں کو دردناک عذاب پہنچے گا
لَّيْسَ عَلَى ٱلضُّعَفَآءِ وَلَا عَلَى ٱلْمَرْضَىٰ وَلَا عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ مَا يُنفِقُونَ حَرَجٌ إِذَا نَصَحُوا۟ لِلَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ مَا عَلَى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ مِن سَبِيلٍ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ٩١
ضعیفوں پر کچھ حرج نہیں اور نہ بیماروں پر اور نہ ان پر جنہیں خرچ کا مقدور نہ ہو جب کہ اللہ اور رسول کے خیر خواہ رہیں نیکی والوں پر کوئی راہ نہیں اور اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے،
وَلَا عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا مَآ أَتَوْكَ لِتَحْمِلَهُمْ قُلْتَ لَآ أَجِدُ مَآ أَحْمِلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ تَوَلَّوا۟ وَّأَعْيُنُهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ ٱلدَّمْعِ حَزَنًا أَلَّا يَجِدُوا۟ مَا يُنفِقُونَ ٩٢
اور نہ ان پر جو تمہارے حضور حاضر ہوں کہ تم انہیں سواری عطا فرماؤ تم سے یہ جواب پائیں کہ میرے پاس کوئی چیز نہیں جس پر تمہیں سوار کروں اس پر یوں واپس جائیں کہ ان کی آنکھوں سے آنسو ابلتے ہوں اس غم سے کہ خرچ کا مقدور نہ پایا،
إِنَّمَا ٱلسَّبِيلُ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْتَـْٔذِنُونَكَ وَهُمْ أَغْنِيَآءُ رَضُوا۟ بِأَن يَكُونُوا۟ مَعَ ٱلْخَوَالِفِ وَطَبَعَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ٩٣
مؤاخذہ تو ان سے ہے جو تم سے رخصت مانگتے ہیں اور وہ دولت مند ہیں انہیں پسند آیا کہ عورتوں کے ساتھ پیچھے بیٹھ رہیں اور اللہ نے ان کے دلوں پر مہر کردی تو وہ کچھ نہیں جانتے
يَعْتَذِرُونَ إِلَيْكُمْ إِذَا رَجَعْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ قُل لَّا تَعْتَذِرُوا۟ لَن نُّؤْمِنَ لَكُمْ قَدْ نَبَّأَنَا ٱللَّهُ مِنْ أَخْبَارِكُمْ وَسَيَرَى ٱللَّهُ عَمَلَكُمْ وَرَسُولُهُۥ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَٰلِمِ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ٩٤
تم سے بہانے بنائیں گے جب تم ان کی طرف لوٹ کر جاؤ گے تم فرمانا، بہانے نہ بناؤ ہم ہرگز تمہارا یقین نہ کریں گے اللہ نے ہمیں تمہاری خبریں دے دی ہیں، اور اب اللہ و رسول تمہارے کام دیکھیں گے پھر اس کی طرف پلٹ کر جاؤ گے جو چھپے اور ظاہر سب کو جانتا ہے وہ تمہیں جتادے گا جو کچھ تم کرتے تھے،
سَيَحْلِفُونَ بِٱللَّهِ لَكُمْ إِذَا ٱنقَلَبْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لِتُعْرِضُوا۟ عَنْهُمْ فَأَعْرِضُوا۟ عَنْهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ رِجْسٌ وَمَأْوَىٰهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ ٩٥
اب تمہارے آگے اللہ کی قسمیں کھائیں گے جب تم ان کی طرف پلٹ کر جاؤ گے اس لیے کہ تم ان کے خیال میں نہ پڑو تو ہاں تم ان کا خیال چھوڑو وہ تو نرے پلید ہیں اور ان کا ٹھکانا جہنم ہے بدلہ اس کا جو کماتے تھے
يَحْلِفُونَ لَكُمْ لِتَرْضَوْا۟ عَنْهُمْ فَإِن تَرْضَوْا۟ عَنْهُمْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَرْضَىٰ عَنِ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ ٩٦
تمہارے آگے قسمیں کھاتے ہیں کہ تم ان سے راضی ہوجاؤ تو اگر تم ان سے راضی ہوجاؤ تو بیشک اللہ تو فاسق لوگوں سے راضی نہ ہوگا
ٱلْأَعْرَابُ أَشَدُّ كُفْرًا وَنِفَاقًا وَأَجْدَرُ أَلَّا يَعْلَمُوا۟ حُدُودَ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ ٩٧
گنوار کفر اور نفاق میں زیادہ سخت ہیں اور اسی قابل ہیں کہ اللہ نے جو حکم اپنے رسول پر اتارے اس سے جاہل رہیں، اور اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے،
وَمِنَ ٱلْأَعْرَابِ مَن يَتَّخِذُ مَا يُنفِقُ مَغْرَمًا وَيَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمُ ٱلدَّوَآئِرَ عَلَيْهِمْ دَآئِرَةُ ٱلسَّوْءِ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ ٩٨
اور کچھ گنوار وہ ہیں کہ جو اللہ کی راہ میں خرچ کریں تو اسے تاوان سمجھیں اور تم پر گردشیں آنے کے انتظار میں رہیں انہیں پر ہے بری گردش اور اللہ سنتا جانتا ہے،
وَمِنَ ٱلْأَعْرَابِ مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ وَيَتَّخِذُ مَا يُنفِقُ قُرُبَٰتٍ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَصَلَوَٰتِ ٱلرَّسُولِ أَلَآ إِنَّهَا قُرْبَةٌ لَّهُمْ سَيُدْخِلُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ فِى رَحْمَتِهِۦٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ٩٩
اور کچھ گاؤں والے وہ ہیں جو اللہ اور قیامت پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور جو خرچ کریں اسے اللہ کی نزدیکیوں اور رسول سے دعائیں لینے کا ذریعہ سمجھیں ہاں ہاں وہ ان کے لیے باعث قرب ہے اللہ جلد انہیں اپنی رحمت میں داخل کرے گا، بیشک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے،
وَٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُهَٰجِرِينَ وَٱلْأَنصَارِ وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُم بِإِحْسَٰنٍ رَّضِىَ ٱللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى تَحْتَهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًا ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ ١٠٠
اور سب میں اگلے پہلے مہاجر اور انصار اور جو بھلائی کے ساتھ ان کے پیرو ہوئے اللہ ان سے راضی اور وہ اللہ سے راضی اور ان کے لیے تیار کر رکھے ہیں باغ جن کے نیچے نہریں بہیں ہمیشہ ہمیشہ ان میں رہیں، یہی بڑی کامیابی ہے،
وَمِمَّنْ حَوْلَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَعْرَابِ مُنَٰفِقُونَ وَمِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْمَدِينَةِ مَرَدُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنِّفَاقِ لَا تَعْلَمُهُمْ نَحْنُ نَعْلَمُهُمْ سَنُعَذِّبُهُم مَّرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ يُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَذَابٍ عَظِيمٍ ١٠١
اور تمہارے آس پاس کے کچھ گنوار منافق ہیں، اور کچھ مدینہ والے، ان کی خو ہوگئی ہے نفاق، تم انہیں نہیں جانتے، ہم انھیں جانتے ہیں جلد ہم انہیں دوبارہ عذاب کریں گے پھر بڑے عذاب کی طرف پھیرے جائیں گے
وَءَاخَرُونَ ٱعْتَرَفُوا۟ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ خَلَطُوا۟ عَمَلًا صَٰلِحًا وَءَاخَرَ سَيِّئًا عَسَى ٱللَّهُ أَن يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ١٠٢
اور کچھ اور ہیں جو اپنے گناہوں کے مقر ہوئے اور ملایا ایک کام اچھا اور دوسرا بڑا قریب ہے کہ اللہ ان کی توبہ قبول کرے، بیشک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے،
خُذْ مِنْ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ صَدَقَةً تُطَهِّرُهُمْ وَتُزَكِّيهِم بِهَا وَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ إِنَّ صَلَوٰتَكَ سَكَنٌ لَّهُمْ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ ١٠٣
اے محبوب! ان کے مال میں سے زکوٰة تحصیل کرو جس سے تم انھیں ستھرا اور پاکیزہ کردو اور ان کے حق میں دعائے خیر کرو بیشک تمہاری دعا ان کے دلوں کا چین ہے، اور اللہ سنتا جانتا ہے،
أَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ يَقْبَلُ ٱلتَّوْبَةَ عَنْ عِبَادِهِۦ وَيَأْخُذُ ٱلصَّدَقَٰتِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ١٠٤
کیا انہیں خبر نہیں کہ اللہ ہی اپنے بندوں کی توبہ قبول کرتا اور صدقے خود اپنی دست قدرت میں لیتا ہے اور یہ کہ اللہ ہی توبہ قبول کرنے والا مہربان ہے
وَقُلِ ٱعْمَلُوا۟ فَسَيَرَى ٱللَّهُ عَمَلَكُمْ وَرَسُولُهُۥ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَسَتُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَٰلِمِ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ١٠٥
اور تم فرما ؤ کام کرو اب تمہارے کام دیکھے گا اللہ اور اس کے رسول اور مسلمان، اور جلد اس کی طرف پلٹوگے جو چھپا اور کھلا سب جانتا ہے تو وہ تمہارے کام تمہیں جتاوے گا،
وَءَاخَرُونَ مُرْجَوْنَ لِأَمْرِ ٱللَّهِ إِمَّا يُعَذِّبُهُمْ وَإِمَّا يَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ ١٠٦
اور کچھ موقوف رکھے گئے اللہ کے حکم پر، یا ان پر عذاب کرے یا ان کی توبہ قبول کرے اور اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے،
وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مَسْجِدًا ضِرَارًا وَكُفْرًا وَتَفْرِيقًۢا بَيْنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَإِرْصَادًا لِّمَنْ حَارَبَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَيَحْلِفُنَّ إِنْ أَرَدْنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ وَٱللَّهُ يَشْهَدُ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَٰذِبُونَ ١٠٧
اور وہ جنہوں نے مسجد بنائی نقصان پہنچانے کو اور کفر کے سبب اور مسلمانوں میں تفرقہ ڈالنے کو اور اس کے انتظار میں جو پہلے سے اللہ اور اس کے رسول کا مخالف ہے اور وہ ضرور قسمیں کھائیں گے ہم نے تو بھلائی چاہی، اور اللہ گواہ ہے کہ وہ بیشک جھوٹے ہیں،
لَا تَقُمْ فِيهِ أَبَدًا لَّمَسْجِدٌ أُسِّسَ عَلَى ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ مِنْ أَوَّلِ يَوْمٍ أَحَقُّ أَن تَقُومَ فِيهِ فِيهِ رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّونَ أَن يَتَطَهَّرُوا۟ وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُطَّهِّرِينَ ١٠٨
اس مسجد میں تم کبھی کھڑے نہ ہونا، بیشک وہ مسجد کہ پہلے ہی دن سے جس کی بنیاد پرہیزگاری پر رکھی گئی ہے وہ اس قابل ہے کہ تم اس میں کھڑے ہو، اس میں وہ لوگ ہیں کہ خوب ستھرا ہونا چاہتے ہیں اور ستھرے اللہ کو پیارے ہیں،
أَفَمَنْ أَسَّسَ بُنْيَٰنَهُۥ عَلَىٰ تَقْوَىٰ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضْوَٰنٍ خَيْرٌ أَم مَّنْ أَسَّسَ بُنْيَٰنَهُۥ عَلَىٰ شَفَا جُرُفٍ هَارٍ فَٱنْهَارَ بِهِۦ فِى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ١٠٩
تو کیا جس نے اپنی بنیاد رکھی اللہ سے ڈر اور اس کی رضا پر وہ بھلا یا وہ جس نے اپنی نیو چنی ایک گراؤ (ٹوٹے ہوئے کناروں والے) گڑھے کے کنارے تو وہ اسے لے کر جہنم کی آ گ میں ڈھے پڑا اور اللہ ظالموں کو راہ نہیں دیتا،
لَا يَزَالُ بُنْيَٰنُهُمُ ٱلَّذِى بَنَوْا۟ رِيبَةً فِى قُلُوبِهِمْ إِلَّآ أَن تَقَطَّعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ ١١٠
وہ تعمیر جو چنی (کی) ہمیشہ ان کے دلوں میں کھٹکتی رہے گی مگر یہ کہ ان کے دل ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہوجائیں اور اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے،
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱشْتَرَىٰ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَأَمْوَٰلَهُم بِأَنَّ لَهُمُ ٱلْجَنَّةَ يُقَٰتِلُونَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ فَيَقْتُلُونَ وَيُقْتَلُونَ وَعْدًا عَلَيْهِ حَقًّا فِى ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ وَٱلْإِنجِيلِ وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ وَمَنْ أَوْفَىٰ بِعَهْدِهِۦ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ فَٱسْتَبْشِرُوا۟ بِبَيْعِكُمُ ٱلَّذِى بَايَعْتُم بِهِۦ وَذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ ١١١
بیشک اللہ نے مسلمانوں سے ان کے مال اور جان خریدلیے ہیں اس بدلے پر کہ ان کے لیے جنت ہے اللہ کی راہ میں لڑیں تو ماریں اور مریں اس کے ذمہ کرم پر سچا وعدہ توریت اور انجیل اور قرآن میں اور اللہ سے زیادہ قول کا پورا کون تو خوشیاں مناؤ اپنے سودے کی جو تم نے اس سے کیا ہے، اور یہی بڑی کامیابی ہے،
ٱلتَّٰٓئِبُونَ ٱلْعَٰبِدُونَ ٱلْحَٰمِدُونَ ٱلسَّٰٓئِحُونَ ٱلرَّٰكِعُونَ ٱلسَّٰجِدُونَ ٱلْـَٔامِرُونَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَٱلنَّاهُونَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَٱلْحَٰفِظُونَ لِحُدُودِ ٱللَّهِ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ١١٢
توبہ والے عبادت والے سراہنے والے روزے والے رکوع والے سجدہ والے بھلائی کے بتانے والے اور برائی سے روکنے والے اور اللہ کی حدیں نگاہ رکھنے والے اور خوشی سناؤ مسلمانوں
مَا كَانَ لِلنَّبِىِّ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَن يَسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ وَلَوْ كَانُوٓا۟ أُو۟لِى قُرْبَىٰ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُمْ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ١١٣
نبی اور ایمان والوں کو لائق نہیں کہ مشرکوں کی بخشش چاہیں اگرچہ وہ رشتہ دار ہوں جبکہ انہیں کھل چکا کہ وہ دوزخی ہیں
وَمَا كَانَ ٱسْتِغْفَارُ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ لِأَبِيهِ إِلَّا عَن مَّوْعِدَةٍ وَعَدَهَآ إِيَّاهُ فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُۥٓ أَنَّهُۥ عَدُوٌّ لِّلَّهِ تَبَرَّأَ مِنْهُ إِنَّ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ لَأَوَّٰهٌ حَلِيمٌ ١١٤
اور ابراہیم کا اپنے باپ کی بخشش چاہنا وہ تو نہ تھا مگر ایک وعدے کے سبب جو اس سے کرچکا تھا پھر جب ابراہیم کو کھل گیا کہ وہ اللہ کا دشمن ہے اس سے تنکا توڑ دیا (لاتعلق ہوگیا) بیشک ابراہیم بہت آہیں کرنے والا متحمل ہے،
وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيُضِلَّ قَوْمًۢا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَىٰهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُبَيِّنَ لَهُم مَّا يَتَّقُونَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ ١١٥
اور اللہ کی شان نہیں کہ کسی قوم کو ہدایت کرکے گمراہ فرمائے جب تک انہیں صاف نہ بتادے کہ کسی چیز سے انہیں بچنا ہے بیشک اللہ سب کچھ جانتا ہے،
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِىٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ ١١٦
بیشک اللہ ہی کے لیے ہے آسمانوں اور زمین کی سلطنت، جِلاتا ہے اور مارتا ہے، اور اللہ کے سوا نہ تمہارا کوئی والی اور نہ مددگار،
لَّقَد تَّابَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَى ٱلنَّبِىِّ وَٱلْمُهَٰجِرِينَ وَٱلْأَنصَارِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُ فِى سَاعَةِ ٱلْعُسْرَةِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا كَادَ يَزِيغُ قُلُوبُ فَرِيقٍ مِّنْهُمْ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ إِنَّهُۥ بِهِمْ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ ١١٧
بیشک اللہ کی رحمتیں متوجہ ہوئیں ان غیب کی خبریں بتانے والے اور ان مہاجرین اور انصار پر جنہوں نے مشکل کی گھڑی میں ان کا ساتھ دیا بعد اس کے کہ قریب تھا کہ ان میں کچھ لوگوں کے دل پھر جائیں پھر ان پر رحمت سے متوجہ ہوا بیشک وہ ان پر نہایت مہربان رحم والا ہے
وَعَلَى ٱلثَّلَٰثَةِ ٱلَّذِينَ خُلِّفُوا۟ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا ضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْأَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ أَنفُسُهُمْ وَظَنُّوٓا۟ أَن لَّا مَلْجَأَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَّآ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَتُوبُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ١١٨
اور ان تین پر جو موقوف رکھے گئے تھے یہاں تک کہ جب زمین اتنی وسیع ہوکر ان پر تنگ ہوگئی اور ہو اپنی جان سے تنگ آئے اور انہیں یقین ہوا کہ اللہ سے پناہ نہیں مگر اسی کے پاس، پھر ان کی توبہ قبول کی کہ تائب رہیں، بیشک اللہ ہی توبہ قبول کرنے والا مہربان ہے،
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَكُونُوا۟ مَعَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ ١١٩
اے ایمان والو! اللہ سے ڈرو اور سچوں کے ساتھ ہو
مَا كَانَ لِأَهْلِ ٱلْمَدِينَةِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَعْرَابِ أَن يَتَخَلَّفُوا۟ عَن رَّسُولِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا يَرْغَبُوا۟ بِأَنفُسِهِمْ عَن نَّفْسِهِۦ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ لَا يُصِيبُهُمْ ظَمَأٌ وَلَا نَصَبٌ وَلَا مَخْمَصَةٌ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا يَطَـُٔونَ مَوْطِئًا يَغِيظُ ٱلْكُفَّارَ وَلَا يَنَالُونَ مِنْ عَدُوٍّ نَّيْلًا إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُم بِهِۦ عَمَلٌ صَٰلِحٌ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ١٢٠
مدینہ والوں اور ان کے گرد دیہات والوں کو لائق نہ تھا کہ رسول اللہ سے پیچھے بیٹھ رہیں اور نہ یہ کہ ان کی جان سے اپنی جان پیاری سمجھیں یہ اس لیے کہ انہیں جو پیاس یا تکلیف یا بھوک اللہ کی راہ میں پہنچتی ہے اور جہاں ایسی جگہ قدم رکھتے ہیں جس سے کافروں کو غیظ آئے اور جو کچھ کسی دشمن کا بگاڑتے ہیں اس سب کے بدلے ان کے لیے نیک عمل لکھا جاتا ہے بیشک اللہ نیکوں کا نیگ (اجر) ضائع نہیں کرتا،
وَلَا يُنفِقُونَ نَفَقَةً صَغِيرَةً وَلَا كَبِيرَةً وَلَا يَقْطَعُونَ وَادِيًا إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُمْ لِيَجْزِيَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ أَحْسَنَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ١٢١
اور جو کچھ خرچ کرتے ہیں چھوٹا یا بڑا اور جو نالا طے کرتے ہیں سب ان کے لیے لکھا جاتا ہے تاکہ اللہ ان کے سب سے بہتر کاموں کا انہیں صلہ دے
وَمَا كَانَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ لِيَنفِرُوا۟ كَآفَّةً فَلَوْلَا نَفَرَ مِن كُلِّ فِرْقَةٍ مِّنْهُمْ طَآئِفَةٌ لِّيَتَفَقَّهُوا۟ فِى ٱلدِّينِ وَلِيُنذِرُوا۟ قَوْمَهُمْ إِذَا رَجَعُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَحْذَرُونَ ١٢٢
اور مسلمانوں سے یہ تو ہو نہیں سکتا کہ سب کے سب نکلیں تو کیوں نہ ہو کہ ان کے ہر گروہ میں سے ایک جماعت نکلے کہ دین کی سمجھ حاصل کریں اور واپس آکر اپنی قوم کو ڈر سنائیں اس امید پر کہ وہ بچیں
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ قَٰتِلُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ يَلُونَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْكُفَّارِ وَلْيَجِدُوا۟ فِيكُمْ غِلْظَةً وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ ١٢٣
اے ايما ن والوں جہاد کرو ان کافروں سے جو تمہارے قريب ہيں اور چاہیئے کہ وہ تم میں سختی پائیں، اور جان رکھو کہ اللہ پرہیزگاروں کے ساتھ ہے
وَإِذَا مَآ أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ فَمِنْهُم مَّن يَقُولُ أَيُّكُمْ زَادَتْهُ هَٰذِهِۦٓ إِيمَٰنًا فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ فَزَادَتْهُمْ إِيمَٰنًا وَهُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ ١٢٤
اور جب کوئی سورت اترتی ہے تو ان میں کوئی کہنے لگتا ہے کہ اس نے تم میں کس کے ایمان کو ترقی دی تو وہ جو ایمان والے ہیں ان کے ایمان کو ترقی دی اور وہ خوشیاں منارہے ہیں،
وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ فَزَادَتْهُمْ رِجْسًا إِلَىٰ رِجْسِهِمْ وَمَاتُوا۟ وَهُمْ كَٰفِرُونَ ١٢٥
اور جن کے دلوں میں آزار ہے انہیں اور پلیدی پر پلیدی بڑھائی اور وہ کفر ہی پر مر گئے،
أَوَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّهُمْ يُفْتَنُونَ فِى كُلِّ عَامٍ مَّرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ لَا يَتُوبُونَ وَلَا هُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ ١٢٦
کیا انہیں نہیں سوجھتا ک ہ ہر سال ایک یا دو بار آزمائے جاتے ہیں پھر نہ تو توبہ کرتے ہیں نہ نصیحت مانتے ہیں،
وَإِذَا مَآ أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ نَّظَرَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ هَلْ يَرَىٰكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ ثُمَّ ٱنصَرَفُوا۟ صَرَفَ ٱللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُم بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَفْقَهُونَ ١٢٧
اور جب کوئی سورت اترتی ہے ان میں ایک دوسرے کو دیکھنے لگتا ہے کہ کوئی تمہیں دیکھتا تو نہیں پھر پلٹ جاتے ہیں اللہ نے ان کے دل پلٹ دیئے ہیں کہ وہ ناسمجھ لوگ ہیں
لَقَدْ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ عَزِيزٌ عَلَيْهِ مَا عَنِتُّمْ حَرِيصٌ عَلَيْكُم بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ ١٢٨
بیشک تمہارے پاس تشریف لائے تم میں سے وہ رسول جن پر تمہارا مشقت میں پڑنا گِراں ہے تمہاری بھلائی کے نہایت چاہنے والے مسلمانوں پر کمال مہربان مہربان
فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَقُلْ حَسْبِىَ ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ١٢٩
پھر اگر وہ منہ پھیریں تو تم فرمادو کہ مجھے اللہ کافی ہے اس کے سوا کسی کی بندگی نہیں، میں نے اسی پر بھروسہ کیا اور وہ بڑے عرش کا مالک ہے
English translation (Pickthall) — full Surah
Freedom from obligation (is proclaimed) from Allah and His messenger toward those of the idolaters with whom ye made a treaty. Travel freely in the land four months, and know that ye cannot escape Allah and that Allah will confound the disbelievers (in His Guidance). And a proclamation from Allah and His messenger to all men on the day of the Greater Pilgrimage that Allah is free from obligation to the idolaters, and (so is) His messenger. So, if ye repent, it will be better for you; but if ye are averse, then know that ye cannot escape Allah. Give tidings (O Muhammad) of a painful doom to those who disbelieve, Excepting those of the idolaters with whom ye (Muslims) have a treaty, and who have since abated nothing of your right nor have supported anyone against you. (As for these), fulfil their treaty to them till their term. Lo! Allah loveth those who keep their duty (unto Him). Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. And if anyone of the idolaters seeketh thy protection (O Muhammad), then protect him so that he may hear the Word of Allah, and afterward convey him to his place of safety. That is because they are a folk who know not. How can there be a treaty with Allah and with His messenger for the idolaters save those with whom ye made a treaty at the Inviolable Place of Worship? So long as they are true to you, be true to them. Lo! Allah loveth those who keep their duty. How (can there be any treaty for the others) when, if they have the upper hand of you, they regard not pact nor honour in respect of you? They satisfy you with their mouths the while their hearts refuse. And most of them are wrongdoers. They have purchased with the revelations of Allah a little gain, so they debar (men) from His way. Lo! evil is that which they are wont to do. And they observe toward a believer neither pact nor honour. These are they who are transgressors. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then are they your brethren in religion. We detail Our revelations for a people who have knowledge. And if they break their pledges after their treaty (hath been made with you) and assail your religion, then fight the heads of disbelief - Lo! they have no binding oaths - in order that they may desist. Will ye not fight a folk who broke their solemn pledges, and purposed to drive out the messenger and did attack you first? What! Fear ye them? Now Allah hath more right that ye should fear Him, if ye are believers Fight them! Allah will chastise them at your hands, and He will lay them low and give you victory over them, and He will heal the breasts of folk who are believers. And He will remove the anger of their hearts. Allah relenteth toward whom He will. Allah is Knower, Wise. Or deemed ye that ye would be left (in peace) when Allah yet knoweth not those of you who strive, choosing for familiar none save Allah and His messenger and the believers? Allah is Informed of what ye do. It is not for the idolaters to tend Allah's sanctuaries, bearing witness against themselves of disbelief. As for such, their works are vain and in the Fire they will abide. He only shall tend Allah's sanctuaries who believeth in Allah and the Last Day and observeth proper worship and payeth the poor-due and feareth none save Allah. For such (only) is it possible that they can be of the rightly guided. Count ye the slaking of a pilgrim's thirst and tendance of the Inviolable Place of Worship as (equal to the worth of) him who believeth in Allah and the Last Day, and striveth in the way of Allah? They are not equal in the sight of Allah. Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk. Those who believe, and have left their homes and striven with their wealth and their lives in Allah's way are of much greater worth in Allah's sight. These are they who are triumphant. Their Lord giveth them good tidings of mercy from Him, and acceptance, and Gardens where enduring pleasure will be theirs; There they will abide for ever. Lo! with Allah there is immense reward. O ye who believe! Choose not your fathers nor your brethren for friends if they take pleasure in disbelief rather than faith. Whoso of you taketh them for friends, such are wrong-doers. Say: If your fathers, and your sons, and your brethren, and your wives, and your tribe, and the wealth ye have acquired, and merchandise for which ye fear that there will no sale, and dwellings ye desire are dearer to you than Allah and His messenger and striving in His way: then wait till Allah bringeth His command to pass. Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk. Allah hath given you victory on many fields and on the day of Huneyn, when ye exulted in your multitude but it availed you naught, and the earth, vast as it is, was straitened for you; then ye turned back in flight; Then Allah sent His peace of reassurance down upon His messenger and upon the believers, and sent down hosts ye could not see, and punished those who disbelieved. Such is the reward of disbelievers. Then afterward Allah will relent toward whom He will; for Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. O ye who believe! The idolaters only are unclean. So let them not come near the Inviolable Place of Worship after this their year. If ye fear poverty (from the loss of their merchandise) Allah shall preserve you of His bounty if He will. Lo! Allah is Knower, Wise. Fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture as believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, and forbid not that which Allah hath forbidden by His messenger, and follow not the Religion of Truth, until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low. And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah. That is their saying with their mouths. They imitate the saying of those who disbelieved of old. Allah (Himself) fighteth against them. How perverse are they! They have taken as lords beside Allah their rabbis and their monks and the Messiah son of Mary, when they were bidden to worship only One Allah. There is no Allah save Him. Be He Glorified from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)! Fain would they put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah disdaineth (aught) save that He shall perfect His light, however much the disbelievers are averse. He it is Who hath sent His messenger with the guidance and the Religion of Truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religion, however much the idolaters may be averse. O ye who believe! Lo! many of the (Jewish) rabbis and the (Christian) monks devour the wealth of mankind wantonly and debar (men) from the way of Allah. They who hoard up gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah, unto them give tidings (O Muhammad) of a painful doom, On the day when it will (all) be heated in the fire of hell, and their foreheads and their flanks and their backs will be branded therewith (and it will be said unto them): Here is that which ye hoarded for yourselves. Now taste of what ye used to hoard. Lo! the number of the months with Allah is twelve months by Allah's ordinance in the day that He created the heavens and the earth. Four of them are sacred: that is the right religion. So wrong not yourselves in them. And wage war on all of the idolaters as they are waging war on all of you. And know that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto Him). Postponement (of a sacred month) is only an excess of disbelief whereby those who disbelieve are misled; they allow it one year and forbid it (another) year, that they may make up the number of the months which Allah hath hallowed, so that they allow that which Allah hath forbidden. The evil of their deeds is made fairseeming unto them. Allah guideth not the disbelieving folk. O ye who believe! What aileth you that when it is said unto you: Go forth in the way of Allah, ye are bowed down to the ground with heaviness. Take ye pleasure in the life of the world rather than in the Hereafter? The comfort of the life of the world is but little in the Hereafter. If ye go not forth He will afflict you with a painful doom, and will choose instead of you a folk other than you. Ye cannot harm Him at all. Allah is Able to do all things. If ye help him not, still Allah helped him when those who disbelieve drove him forth, the second of two; when they two were in the cave, when he said unto his comrade: Grieve not. Lo! Allah is with us. Then Allah caused His peace of reassurance to descend upon him and supported him with hosts ye cannot see, and made the word of those who disbelieved the nethermost, while Allah's Word it was that became the uppermost. Allah is Mighty, Wise. Go forth, light-armed and heavy-armed, and strive with your wealth and your lives in the way of Allah! That is best for you if ye but knew. Had it been a near adventure and an easy journey they had followed thee, but the distance seemed too far for them. Yet will they swear by Allah (saying): If we had been able we would surely have set out with you. They destroy their souls, and Allah knoweth that they verily are liars. Allah forgive thee (O Muhammad)! Wherefor didst thou grant them leave ere those who told the truth were manifest to thee and thou didst know the liars? Those who believe in Allah and the Last Day ask no leave of thee lest they should strive with their wealth and their lives. Allah is Aware of those who keep their duty (unto Him). They alone ask leave of thee who believe not in Allah and the Last Day, and whose hearts feel doubt, so in their doubt they waver. And if they had wished to go forth they would assuredly have made ready some equipment, but Allah was averse to their being sent forth and held them back and it was said (unto them): Sit ye with the sedentary! Had they gone forth among you they had added to you naught save trouble and had hurried to and fro among you, seeking to cause sedition among you; and among you there are some who would have listened to them. Allah is Aware of evil-doers. Aforetime they sought to cause sedition and raised difficulties for thee till the Truth came and the decree of Allah was made manifest, though they were loth. Of them is he who saith: Grant me leave (to stay at home) and tempt me not. Surely it is into temptation that they (thus) have fallen. Lo! hell verily is all around the disbelievers. If good befalleth thee (O Muhammad) it afflicteth them, and if calamity befalleth thee, they say: We took precaution, and they turn away well pleased. Say: Naught befalleth us save that which Allah hath decreed for us. He is our Protecting Friend. In Allah let believers put their trust! Say: Can ye await for us aught save one of two good things (death or victory in Allah's way)? while we await for you that Allah will afflict you with a doom from Him or at our hands. Await then! Lo! We are awaiting with you. Say: Pay (your contribution), willingly or unwillingly, it will not be accepted from you. Lo! ye were ever froward folk. And naught preventeth that their contributions should be accepted from them save that they have disbelieved in Allah and in His messenger, and they come not to worship save as idlers, and pay not (their contribution) save reluctantly. So let not their riches nor their children please thee (O Muhammad). Allah thereby intendeth but to punish them in the life of the world and that their souls shall pass away while they are disbelievers. And they swear by Allah that they are in truth of you, when they are not of you, but they are folk who are afraid. Had they but found a refuge, or caverns, or a place to enter, they surely had resorted thither swift as runaways. And of them is he who defameth thee in the matter of the alms. If they are given thereof they are content, and if they are not given thereof, behold! they are enraged. (How much more seemly) had they been content with that which Allah and His messenger had given them and had said: Allah sufficeth us. Allah will give us of His bounty, and (also) His messenger. Unto Allah we are suppliants. The alms are only for the poor and the needy, and those who collect them, and those whose hearts are to be reconciled, and to free the captives and the debtors, and for the cause of Allah, and (for) the wayfarer; a duty imposed by Allah. Allah is Knower, Wise. And of them are those who vex the Prophet and say: He is only a hearer. Say: A hearer of good for you, who believeth in Allah and is true to the believers, and a mercy for such of you as believe. Those who vex the messenger of Allah, for them there is a painful doom. They swear by Allah to you (Muslims) to please you, but Allah, with His messenger, hath more right that they should please Him if they are believers. Know they not that whoso opposeth Allah and His messenger, his verily is fire of hell, to abide therein? That is the extreme abasement. The hypocrites fear lest a surah should be revealed concerning them, proclaiming what is in their hearts. Say: Scoff (your fill)! Lo! Allah is disclosing what ye fear. And if thou ask them (O Muhammad) they will say: We did but talk and jest. Say: Was it at Allah and His revelations and His messenger that ye did scoff? Make no excuse. Ye have disbelieved after your (confession of) belief. If We forgive a party of you, a party of you We shall punish because they have been guilty. The hypocrites, both men and women, proceed one from another. They enjoin the wrong, and they forbid the right, and they withhold their hands (from spending for the cause of Allah). They forget Allah, so He hath forgotten them. Lo! the hypocrites, they are the transgressors. Allah promiseth the hypocrites, both men and women, and the disbelievers fire of hell for their abode. It will suffice them. Allah curseth them, and theirs is lasting torment. Even as those before you who were mightier than you in strength, and more affluent than you in wealth and children. They enjoyed their lot awhile, so ye enjoy your lot awhile even as those before you did enjoy their lot awhile. And ye prate even as they prated. Such are they whose works have perished in the world and the Hereafter. Such are they who are the losers. Hath not the fame of those before them reached them - the folk of Noah, A'ad, Thamud, the folk of Abraham, the dwellers of Midian and the disasters (which befell them)? Their messengers (from Allah) came unto them with proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty). So Allah surely wronged them not, but they did wrong themselves. And the believers, men and women, are protecting friends one of another; they enjoin the right and forbid the wrong, and they establish worship and they pay the poor-due, and they obey Allah and His messenger. As for these, Allah will have mercy on them. Lo! Allah is Mighty, Wise. Allah promiseth to the believers, men and women, Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide - blessed dwellings in Gardens of Eden. And - greater (far)! - acceptance from Allah. That is the supreme triumph. O Prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites! Be harsh with them. Their ultimate abode is hell, a hapless journey's end. They swear by Allah that they said nothing (wrong), yet they did say the word of disbelief, and did disbelieve after their Surrender (to Allah). And they purposed that which they could not attain, and they sought revenge only that Allah by His messenger should enrich them of His bounty. If they repent it will be better for them; and if they turn away, Allah will afflict them with a painful doom in the world and the Hereafter, and they have no protecting friend nor helper in the earth. And of them is he who made a covenant with Allah (saying): If He give us of His bounty we will give alms and become of the righteous. Yet when He gave them of His bounty, they hoarded it and turned away, averse; So He hath made the consequence (to be) hypocrisy in their hearts until the day when they shall meet Him, because they broke their word to Allah that they promised Him, and because they lied. Know they not that Allah knoweth both their secret and the thought that they confide, and that Allah is the Knower of Things Hidden? Those who point at such of the believers as give the alms willingly and such as can find naught to give but their endeavours, and deride them - Allah (Himself) derideth them. Theirs will be a painful doom. Ask forgiveness for them (O Muhammad), or ask not forgiveness for them; though thou ask forgiveness for them seventy times Allah will not forgive them. That is because they disbelieved in Allah and His messenger, and Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk. Those who were left behind rejoiced at sitting still behind the messenger of Allah, and were averse to striving with their wealth and their lives in Allah's way. And they said: Go not forth in the heat! Say: The fire of hell is more intense of heat, if they but understood. Then let them laugh a little: they will weep much, as the reward of what they used to earn. If Allah bring thee back (from the campaign) unto a party of them and they ask of thee leave to go out (to fight), then say unto them: Ye shall never more go out with me nor fight with me against a foe. Ye were content with sitting still the first time. So sit still, with the useless. And never (O Muhammad) pray for one of them who dieth, nor stand by his grave. Lo! they disbelieved in Allah and His messenger, and they died while they were evil-doers. Let not their wealth nor their children please thee! Allah purposeth only to punish them thereby in the world, and that their souls shall pass away while they are disbelievers. And when a surah is revealed (which saith): Believe in Allah and strive along with His messenger, the men of wealth among them still ask leave of thee and say: Suffer us to be with those who sit (at home). They are content that they should be with the useless and their hearts are sealed, so that they apprehend not. But the messenger and those who believe with him strive with their wealth and their lives. Such are they for whom are the good things. Such are they who are the successful. Allah hath made ready for them Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide. That is the supreme triumph. And those among the wandering Arabs who had an excuse came in order that permission might be granted them. And those who lied to Allah and His messenger sat at home. A painful doom will fall on those of them who disbelieve. Not unto the weak nor unto the sick nor unto those who can find naught to spend is any fault (to be imputed though they stay at home) if they are true to Allah and His messenger. Not unto the good is there any road (of blame). Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. Nor unto those whom, when they came to thee (asking) that thou shouldst mount them, thou didst tell: I cannot find whereon to mount you. They turned back with eyes flowing with tears, for sorrow that they could not find the means to spend. The road (of blame) is only against those who ask for leave of thee (to stay at home) when they are rich. They are content to be with the useless. Allah hath sealed their hearts so that they know not. They will make excuse to you (Muslims) when ye return unto them. Say: Make no excuse, for we shall not believe you. Allah hath told us tidings of you. Allah and His messenger will see your conduct, and then ye will be brought back unto Him Who knoweth the Invisible as well as the Visible, and He will tell you what ye used to do. They will swear by Allah unto you, when ye return unto them, that ye may let them be. Let them be, for lo! they are unclean, and their abode is hell as the reward for what they used to earn. They swear unto you, that ye may accept them. Though ye accept them. Allah verily accepteth not wrongdoing folk. The wandering Arabs are more hard in disbelief and hypocrisy, and more likely to be ignorant of the limits which Allah hath revealed unto His messenger. And Allah is Knower, Wise. And of the wandering Arabs there is he who taketh that which he expendeth (for the cause of Allah) as a loss, and awaiteth (evil) turns of fortune for you (that he may be rid of it). The evil turn of fortune will be theirs. Allah is Hearer, Knower. And of the wandering Arabs there is he who believeth in Allah and the Last Day, and taketh that which he expendeth and also the prayers of the messenger as acceptable offerings in the sight of Allah. Lo! verily it is an acceptable offering for them. Allah will bring them into His mercy. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. And the first to lead the way, of the Muhajirin and the Ansar, and those who followed them in goodness - Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him, and He hath made ready for them Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide for ever. That is the supreme triumph. And among those around you of the wandering Arabs there are hypocrites, and among the townspeople of Al-Madinah (there are some who) persist in hypocrisy whom thou (O Muhammad) knowest not. We, We know them, and We shall chastise them twice; then they will be relegated to a painful doom. And (there are) others who have acknowledged their faults. They mixed a righteous action with another that was bad. It may be that Allah will relent toward them. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. Take alms of their wealth, wherewith thou mayst purify them and mayst make them grow, and pray for them. Lo! thy prayer is an assuagement for them. Allah is Hearer, Knower. Know they not that Allah is He Who accepteth repentance from His bondmen and taketh the alms, and that Allah is He Who is the Relenting, the Merciful. And say (unto them): Act! Allah will behold your actions, and (so will) His messenger and the believers, and ye will be brought back to the Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, and He will tell you what ye used to do. And (there are) others who await Allah's decree, whether He will punish them or will forgive them. Allah is Knower, Wise. And as for those who chose a place of worship out of opposition and disbelief, and in order to cause dissent among the believers, and as an outpost for those who warred against Allah and His messenger aforetime, they will surely swear: We purposed naught save good. Allah beareth witness that they verily are liars. Never stand (to pray) there. A place of worship which was found upon duty (to Allah) from the first day is more worthy that thou shouldst stand (to pray) therein, wherein are men who love to purify themselves. Allah loveth the purifiers. Is he who founded his building upon duty to Allah and His good pleasure better; or he who founded his building on the brink of a crumbling, overhanging precipice so that it toppled with him into the fire of hell? Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk. The building which they built will never cease to be a misgiving in their hearts unless their hearts be torn to pieces. Allah is Knower, Wise. Lo! Allah hath bought from the believers their lives and their wealth because the Garden will be theirs: they shall fight in the way of Allah and shall slay and be slain. It is a promise which is binding on Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur'an. Who fulfilleth His covenant better than Allah? Rejoice then in your bargain that ye have made, for that is the supreme triumph. (Triumphant) are those who turn repentant (to Allah), those who serve (Him), those who praise (Him), those who fast, those who bow down, those who fall prostrate (in worship), those who enjoin the right and who forbid the wrong and those who keep the limits (ordained) of Allah - And give glad tidings to believers! It is not for the Prophet, and those who believe, to pray for the forgiveness of idolaters even though they may be near of kin (to them) after it hath become clear that they are people of hell-fire. The prayer of Abraham for the forgiveness of his father was only because of a promise he had promised him, but when it had become clear unto him that he (his father) was an enemy to Allah he (Abraham) disowned him. Lo! Abraham was soft of heart, long-suffering. It was never Allah's (part) that He should send a folk astray after He had guided them until He had made clear unto them what they should avoid. Lo! Allah is Aware of all things. Lo! Allah! Unto Him belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. He quickeneth and He giveth death. And ye have, instead of Allah, no protecting friend nor helper. Allah hath turned in mercy to the Prophet, and to the Muhajirin and the Ansar who followed him in the hour of hardship. After the hearts of a party of them had almost swerved aside, then turned He unto them in mercy. Lo! He is Full of Pity, Merciful for them. And to the three also (did He turn in mercy) who were left behind, when the earth, vast as it is, was straitened for them, and their own souls were straitened for them till they bethought them that there is no refuge from Allah save toward Him. Then turned He unto them in mercy that they (too) might turn (repentant unto Him). Lo! Allah! He is the Relenting, the Merciful. O ye who believe! Be careful of your duty to Allah, and be with the truthful. It is not for the townsfolk of Al-Madinah and for those around them of the wandering Arabs so stay behind the messenger of Allah and prefer their lives to his life. That is because neither thirst nor toil nor hunger afflicteth them in the way of Allah, nor step they any step that angereth the disbelievers, nor gain they from the enemy a gain, but a good deed is recorded for them therefor. Lo! Allah loseth not the wages of the good. Nor spend they any spending, small or great, nor do they cross a valley, but it is recorded for them, that Allah may repay them the best of what they used to do. And the believers should not all go out to fight. Of every troop of them, a party only should go forth, that they (who are left behind) may gain sound knowledge in religion, and that they may warn their folk when they return to them, so that they may beware. O ye who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto Him). And whenever a surah is revealed there are some of them who say: Which one of you hath thus increased in faith? As for those who believe, it hath increased them in faith and they rejoice (therefor). But as for those in whose hearts is disease, it only addeth wickedness to their wickedness, and they die while they are disbelievers. See they not that they are tested once or twice in every year? Still they turn not in repentance, neither pay they heed. And whenever a surah is revealed, they look one at another (as who should say): Doth anybody see you? Then they turn away. Allah turneth away their hearts because they are a folk who understand not. There hath come unto you a messenger, (one) of yourselves, unto whom aught that ye are overburdened is grievous, full of concern for you, for the believers full of pity, merciful. Now, if they turn away (O Muhammad) say: Allah sufficeth me. There is no Allah save Him. In Him have I put my trust, and He is Lord of the Tremendous Throne.
